Swansboro, Jack Dudley
Swansboro, The Friendly City By the Sea is a photographic history of Swansboro and adjoining communities from the early 1900s through the 1950s. The town and countryside have a long and varied history and are steeped in folklore and nostalgia. Beginning in the early 1900s and through the first half of the 20th century, various photographers captured on film people, events and structures that have become historic landmarks. Nature, too, has made its lasting impressions. More than any other medium of this bygone era, photography can rekindle our memories an reawaken our past.
